ART FOR PEACE AT VANASTHALI PUBLIC SCHOOL, GHAZIABAD

Majority of the population around the globe is passing through a phase of turmoil and turbulence. The children are the sprouting future of this planet earth. Where does lie the vacuum, which the Mother Nature does not appreciate? It is the absence of peace in majority of the hearts of the grown up people and hence, the children are totally unaware of it while they are the epitome of peace and love. An effort was made at Vanasthali Public School having children of classes from III to VIII to let them express their inner feelings on Peace by way of Art. Two groups were made – one having children from III to V and the other from VI to VIII. For the first group the subject was ‘Is peace possible?’ and for the latter one it was ‘The Ant Story.’

Children participated with all their instinct and imagination so wonderfully that it was worth watching them playing with colours creatively and presenting so beautifully the essence of life – Peace. All including the staff, the parents who came and the volunteers who organized this competition for inspiring the children to peep into the domain of peace were so cheerful and full of enthusiasm. This initiative was appreciated by all. Especially the Art teacher expressed wish to be a part of it. Many of them were overwhelmed. A success it was. “Count the garden by the flowers, never by the leaves that fall….”

ART FOR PEACE AT V.K.MEMORIAL SCHOOL, GHAZIABAD

If we look around us and observe, what do we find? Anarchy, lawlessness and outlawry in its fullness! Why is it so? The basic and fundamental reason behind all this is the absence of Peace in the hearts of people. Presence of Peace is the responsibility of every citizen of this planet earth.

We know that the purest part of the society all around the globe is ‘children’. They symbolize love and harmony.

An untiring effort is going on at many places around the country to let people understand what Peace is. Here an effort was made at V.K.Memorial School for children to encourage them feel free to express their ideas and concepts about Peace through Art on the paper in colours. There were three groups of students from III to V, VI to VIII and IX-X. They were shown the videos – The Ant Story, Is Peace Possible? and YPF Website. Every drawing was so artistic and meaningful that the beauty of the inner instincts behind that was beyond words. Every child of whatever age group one was drew an essence. Every organizer, every staff and every parent were speechless. All of them thanked the organization for awaking the children and the youth leading them towards the greatest goal of life ‘Peace’. “…The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.”

ART FOR PEACE AT R.K. INSTITUTE, GHAZIABAD

“An age is called Dark, not because the light fails to shine, but because people refuse to see it.” People refusing to see it shows their ignorance and disinterest and most importantly their priority in this life. A house or home is the basic place to learn and whatever we learn in our childhood is as permanent as carving a design or figure on a stone or metal. Children are the mirrors we can see through ourselves, if we look into honestly, and figure out what we have lost.

The Youth of all the times have always been the backbone of the society and character as well as future of the humanity. Youth is the sprouted grown plant of childhood. The basic seed of development and evolution in any age has been Peace. An honest effort is going on to let the children and the youth understand about true Peace.

In this endeavour ‘Art for Peace’ was organized at Ram Krishna Institute, Ghaziabad where students from class III to XII, in four various groups depending on the class level, got an opportunity to express their views through Art on Peace. They were so full of creative ideas as well as positive energy that we elders are to learn a lot from their beautiful approach and so was the environment there among the staff, parents and the organizers. Each and everyone felt grateful to the organization for conducting such a beautiful event and through this carving the true Peace in the hearts of the children.
